Graphic Designers Call for Submissions

The Montana Avenue Merchants Association is seeking graphic designers to be considered for creative projects throughout the year.

We are looking to connect with designers who can help support the visual communication needs of the Association across digital and print platforms. This may include work for events, promotions, seasonal campaigns, merchant-facing communications, public-facing materials, website graphics, advertising, and more.

We are building a roster of designers we may reach out to as opportunities arise.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for designers with strong visual judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to create polished, effective work across a range of formats.

Projects may require design for:

  • social media

  • website graphics

  • email or digital promotional assets

  • postcards

  • flyers

  • posters

  • signage

  • event materials

  • advertisements

  • branded templates and marketing collateral

We are especially interested in designers who can demonstrate both creativity and flexibility, and who are comfortable working across industry-standard tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as web-based tools like Canva when appropriate.

Types of work may include

Depending on the project, assignments may involve:

  • social media graphics and campaigns

  • event promotional materials

  • website banners and supporting web graphics

  • postcards and direct mail pieces

  • flyers and posters

  • digital ads

  • print ads

  • signage and event wayfinding

  • sponsorship materials

  • branded templates for recurring use

  • updates to existing designs or campaigns

  • light production design and file preparation for print or digital use

Ideal candidates

We welcome submissions from freelance designers, independent studios, and creative professionals who have:

  • a strong portfolio

  • a clean and versatile design aesthetic

  • experience designing for both digital and print

  • the ability to take direction and work within brand needs

  • organized workflow and clear communication

  • reliable turnaround times

  • experience preparing final files correctly for use across platforms

Designers with experience in retail, events, lifestyle brands, hospitality, community organizations, or local business marketing are especially encouraged to apply.
